THE FIRST CONTACT WITH THE IDEA OF USING TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING
I started speculating over the idea of using and incorporating some of the applications I was exploring into my everyday teaching practice when I attended an online course on e-learning.
The first tool which caught my attention and of course, could attract learners attention was Yahoo/ Skype online meeting, as it could give them the intiative to get involved and interact in a meaningful way.

At the same time, the use of my blog with supplementary activities sounded an intriguing idea. I regarded that learners would gradually develop their participation, as this was something new, and they needed to get adjusted. Yahoo conferences were not going to be the problem, as I was convinced that most of them used thsse types of applications for personal socialising purposes.
Blended learning seemed really advantageous to me. It could enhance learners autonomy, was self-paced, the whole procedure was mainly based on authentic materials, and it promoted authenticity. It was meaningful and along with peer correction and peer collaboration would facilitate learning.
The greatest challenge for me would be to get started and activate learners interest for something new. Simultaneously, I deemed that a greater familiarization with the new technologies could promote better course design.
